A replacement facility for the existing Greenhouse and Headhouse for the Ag-Science Department on the Evansdale Campus. It is also shared with the U. S. Forestry Service. The new buildings utilize the campus steam line for mechanical systems. The Plant and Soil Sciences Greenhouse is an essential space for teaching, research, and outreach for WVU. The greenhouse supports research from the Plant and Soil Sciences Department and is 28,250 square feet. The head house, approximately 9,250 square feet, will include 5,950 square feet for wet and dry lab spaces. In addition to growing space, the new greenhouse houses multiple lab rooms, classrooms, offices, and various support services. The new facilities allows WVU and the US Forestry Service to apply new research methods and use updated technology.
